Well done Tina!

Thank you ChookRanger, I will pass that on to her. I am very proud of her and my other first timer this week. Two newbies in one week, summer must be coming! :)

I am excited as 3 of my girls are now laying.

I'm confident on knowing two, but I don't know who the third is.

It's either our barnevelder or polish, but I expected a darker egg from barnevelder or a lighter egg from the polish but it was neither really..

Congratulations venetta

Sorry I cannot help you with the egg identification; I have enough trouble working out who laid what in my coop

Just an FYI regarding the mini bales of pest resistant straw I mentioned earlier. In my earlier post I mentioned I had 3 x nest boxes but that would be more accurately described as 2 x double nest boxes. These nest boxes easily accommodate two bantams each with room to spare. I had no idea how far one mini bale would spread so I purchased 3 x bags.

I am impressed! The little mini bale looked just like a real bale, tried up with string .. cute! Anyways, one mini bale easily filled the 2 x double nest boxes so I now have 2 bags for later!

More than happy with it so far!

These are from my barnie.

It is also possible that a new layer could have laid 2 eggs in one day
