Where would I take him as I cant keep him ???

Check out adds (gumtree/farmstock.com.au). There is a guy in our area that advertises for unwanted hens/roosters & you may find an add like that or you can advertise your rooster.
Also, Welcome to BYC!

I heard you can get no crow collars or something like that.

Only heard about those the other day. Apparently you can get them from the Kalgoorlie Poultry club but don't know any more.

As for re homing. That's a tricky one. You can try putting an add on gumtree. Ours we just got lucky and he was taken by a friend of a friend.

I might try the no crow collars and if that works keep him if not I will have to rehome ... but I will then need to get another chicken for my brown to keep her company ... how many should I have as ive only had 3 at a time because ive got 2 staffies as well

The objective of moving the Yoko's on was to give me less to do. Not add MORE chickens hahahah.
Also, I have thought of this before. The problem is that the white gene is dominant, even after a few generations of mixing with colours. So no sex-links. However, some one told me that if I cross black skin (silkie) with yellow (LH) that the you can sex the chicks by the colour of their skin. Yellow is male.

Success on the egg swop. Snowy has all the eggs under her.

I'm just doing this for the kids, I swear.

All the eggs I took out from under her last night were warm so I think she will be ok. I just need to catch her off the nest to make sure I got them all because I had to feel around under her to get them. Now for the wait.

Great news! Good luck catching her off the nest, I swear mine hasn't moved once but I'm sure she has. When she was still in the nesting box I saw her in the yard once so I'm guessing she is still sneaking out.

Oh sure, blame it on the kids. ;) Don't worry too much , hens have an uncanny knack of knowing when to roll the warmer eggs out and bring the outside eggs in for extra heat.
