They are very cute, I'm hoping to get marans next time, do they lay very dark brown eggs?

Quote: We have one that I call an Olive Egger, but she's a bit of a mutt. There's a dash of Silkie in her, some Araucana, some Finnish Alho landrace, and her dad was a Black Copper-Cuckoo Marans mix I think. She usually lays slightly darker eggs, that one is her fourth after her broodiness and molt.
Here's what we're getting at the moment, the BCM hasn't come back online yet so no chocolate eggs.
Here's Töyhtis ("Tufty"). She's the black one, solo pic of her at the end.

Here's a pic of some Marans eggs we were going to hatch out, luckily the broody stopped being broody the same day we got them so the better half didn't have a chance to throw them under her. Not the best time of year to hatch chicks here in Finland. Good thing she didn't dig out the incubator. They are very cute, I'm hoping to get marans next time, do they lay very dark brown eggs?
Thank you, they are very dark, and look quite big too. Here's a pic of some Marans eggs we were going to hatch out, luckily the broody stopped being broody the same day we got them so the better half didn't have a chance to throw them under her.
