My new pen for the brooder babies. My other one was getting too hot in summer made out of all metal so we made this one from all recycled items. The wood is from old pallets, the wire is recycled from another older cage we had here and the some old corro that I painted up. Only thing I paid for was some nails for the nail gun as I hate hammering stuff. It's nearly finished I need to add some ply to the inside roof as I have 4 layers of insulation to keep them cooler in summer and I need to cut the handle at the side and hinge it so it can be folded out of the way when the lid is not open. The roof is painted with solar reflective paint. I think it has come up pretty well

True that. This is the first time I've made anything out of a pallet but I have used the cable ties many times... Thought hubby was gunna blow a gasket when I hand painted the roof instead of letting him spray it with a gun (hubbys a panel beater) but hey its my project

Careful though. Youve done a great job so he might ask you to do touch ups on cars lol

Hahaha my partner is great he tries to "teach" me how to do it. Despite the fact we're both mechanics lol actually makes sense now since he was the one I worked with while being an apprentice. Still thinks he's boss. Hmmmm

Thanks cwrite. I should have explained it better it's a tractor for outside for the ones that still need to go back to the brooder at night but are on day release
