Sorry to hear spot was a roo. I really want a silkie and someone was selling day olds on gumtree and with a broody my mind was seriously thinking yes. I do have too many chickens as it is lol

Well if you listen to any of us, we'll all say no! Just ask me, I'm terrible at chicken maths; just recently I failed epically.

During our open garden the most asked question would have been, " so how many chickens do you have ?" , I'd look around , make sure hubby was out of ' earshot ' and say "50 give or take a few. That of course doesn't include my new chicks."

Update on my last marans hatch, The one I thought was a blue marans now looks like it is a splash. I didn't know what it was when the white feathers came in instead of blue but talking to a few marans people they say it's a splash. I am pretty sure its a fella but I am planning on keeping it to grow it out to see how it looks. What's one more roo hey.. .
