Hmm no one told the passionfruit it's time to sleep ! Supposed to stop flowering in spring finish fruiting end of summer!

Fancy, I hadn't seen that either. I love the bit at the end on the washing line. It's not often you see a bird being just plain silly - wild bird I mean.
I think we are over the worst of the moulting. The two Austrolorps and Stampy never noticed it was time to moult, Snowy's tail is growing back nicely and Hedwig is looking quite raggedy with a few visible neck pin feathers and no tail. However, using Dusty as the benchmark, she's just a bit scruffy more than naked. : ) I've got 4 eggs again the last couple of days from 5 laying hens which hasn't happend in ages.
My two pullets, Sprinkles and Pearl, have very red combs now, but no sign of squatting. I'm looking forward to them becoming a bit more friendly. Being broody raised, they are definitely the most skittish of my chooks.

Yesterday was my first time since the new bit has been added. Omg it is huge now. I went to buy a cd for my brother for his birthday and I spent most of my time just trying to find a store that sells them lol. I think I have lost my city girl shopping legs.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a Frizzle! All we need now is for said Frizzle to be a girl. Not the best picture but taken to show off those Frizzle feathers:
These two have me intrigued … I thought they were feathering in white but now they have a darker colour in the mix as well; not sure how they are going to turn out. I can tell them apart by the wing feathers; one has longer feathers at the moment.

@satay - no I've never been to Garden City before, but if it's anything like Westfield Chermside, then I'd definitely get lost too.

Sam I am not a fan of passionfruit and my knowledge of their flowering/sleeping habits is zip but I have to thank you for sharing; can you believe that I have never seen a passionfruit flower before? They are quite beautiful and complex at the same time.
Good to read that the moult days may soon be distant memory cwrite. I am not sure how Dusty would feel about being the moult benchmark for this year. As previously suggested, she was getting naked enough that she would look good in a roasting pan surrounded by potatoes! Lol
Anyways, I am happy to report that, besides her bald head, she is no longer centrefold material and is showing way less skin!
I am learning a lot about good and bad broodies! Blondie, if you remember, was full on Broodzilla, drawing blood at one stage, chasing me across the garden, gloves required at all times when handling etc. She is an absolute sweetheart when not broody and you can pretty much do what you like to her. Cilla on the other hand, while nicknamed GodCilla during a brood is very calm and you can pretty well do anything around her and the chicks without her raising even the slightest alarm.
Blondie’s two bubs were neurotic messes. Cilla’s bubs are very friendly and trusting. Blondie is Cilla’s bub also and she is definitely not skittish either.
While being skittish herself, Tina was not a Broodzilla and did not raise the alarm every two seconds when she had chicks and they also grew up being very friendly; actually less skittish and friendlier than she was.
I am a relative newbie at this hatching business and I am probably stating the obvious for all the experienced broody hatchers out there, but even if a hen is quite calm and friendly when not broody, if she is going to be a Broodzilla, no eggs for her. On the other hand, if a hen is a little skittish but not Broodzilla, she would have more chance of getting eggs here.
I understand the Broodzilla is just protectiveness on the hen’s part but Cilla, while protecting her bubs, manages to do this without turning them into neurotic messes.
satay like K Spot I have not been to Garden City either but also manage to get lost in Westfield Chermside!
I am not a big fan of shopping centres and besides groceries, do most of my shopping on line.
Produce Stores and Hardware’s on the other hand; those I can wander around for hours!

Nope here for Garden city too, even though I have a brother in law that lives close to it.

Perhaps its a different variety, but we called them granadillas and knew when they were ripe because they got all wrinkly. I had a passionfruit vine here that got removed due to taking over the pool fence constantly. It's fruit was delicious but no matter how long I waited, none of them wrinkled up.

Not all passionfruit wrinkle up, it depends a bit on the cultivar
Sam I have hundreds of flowers but no fruit. I think mine is a Nellie Kelly.
