Hey Meeka3 I love how my Frizzles pull their head into their feathers before running off across the lawn; they look like little wind up toys

flocking-crazy sorry, can’t help you either; I have friends and neighbours who saved their cartons for me and I have asked them to stop; with only 1 hen laying every day or two I have egg cartons in the shed, eggs cartons in the pantry, egg cartons everywhere and nothing to put in them

Had a bit of a worrying egg today. Not sure who laid it but it was very white and seemed to have that thick lumpy feel on the bottom but the top of it was really thin and had all these little hairline cracks on it and one fine one cracked all the way through. Is this the sort of egg cracks being laid and leads to complications?

Soft shelled eggs can lead to egg binding or even worse peritonitis , if one breaks in the chamber.
It's a sure sign that you need to up the calcium.

Annibee, they look bigger because their feathers are fluffed out. Milo, the little brown hen is really cute when she tucks her head in, she looks like a pom pom so the grandkids call her pom pom. The two boys do everything together, including hopping on the big chooks at the same time (talk about pack rape), they are inseparable. The girls don't know what to make of them.

Aside of all this sex and violence!!!!
Where would one purchace these chooks?
