Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Please indulge me .. I do not have a lot [any] visitors so wanted to share some pictures of my little stealth/raised vegie garden that the girls have not found yet. If you remember, I started it back in October last year and positioned it outside the kitchen window.

This was it then:

This is it now [forgive the reflection, taken through the window]:

Looking good I love veges and grow alot of them but i am most frustrated at the moment as i can't grow parsley. I try and try but it keeps on dying. A neighbour even gave me her established plant telling me i couldn't kill it. Well yes i could and did. Anyone have any tips to grow parsley that i am obviously missing?

Thank you satay

I have not tried parsley .. I might branch out a little when we extend the garden some more and try some herbs.

Yeah, I love my vegies also. I actually get quite excited when I see a new capsicum flower etc and quite upset when the wind or rain knocks them off.

I do enjoy looking out the kitchen window while making coffee and checking on how my vegies are doing .. very rewarding

I did a little happy dance yesterday when I saw that my squash is flowering

Looks great, hopefully the ' garden bandits ' won't find it. I love this idea with pallets. :)

The only garden bandits to date are grasshoppers which are promptly picked off, marched around the corner and introduced to the chickens

Hopefully the chickens will not put 2 and 2 together and work out that something tasty lurks around the corner

Your welcome , pallets have so many uses here in the country , I've seen them used in fencing , building and we have used them along with star pickets , to box in trees in the horse paddocks. I have a couple of the Apple boxes in the pic too. Thinking of converting them into coops. :)

Don't they say if parsley growS well the wife is the boss of the household. (How politically inappropriate )

Mine always did well planted under the hose tap.

Where I live now the possums outnumber people by a ridiculous number and they eat everything I try to grow. I have not a single veg and have managed to keep two herbs - mushroom plant and garlic chives. The possums have taken the lot - between them and the foxes I can't wait to move.
