Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

The heat continues up here so not many hens laying. Nothing to hatch at the moment either. I do have a few quail eggs in the bator but i not sure how they will go as my quails are getting older now.
Does anyone else in qld think we are going to freeze more than normal in winter this year just because it has been a really hot summer. We have not had 1 week since December with out at least one day of 40c or more. Predicted temp for sunday this week is 45c... Yuck,,,

Weather patterns are certainly more severe, I can't function properly in the heat. Hubby was in Adelaide this week and said that every time he goes interstate he is reminded as to why we moved to tassie.
Rotten crow stole 2 x of my interstate eggs. Expensive taste. Those birds of more hide than a cow to enter a dark coop and hassle a broody off her eggs.

Bubbles is one of my 2 power-puff girls, Silkie cross fizzles that i brought to start my frilkie project.

Howdy folks

So, not sure where I am up to with regards letting you guys know about our planned move but I think I told you that hubby had applied for a job in FNQ and had flown up for the interview which he thought went well?

He got a phone call yesterday and while they did not offer him the position as such, they have organised a pre employment medical and criminal history check for him, plus call his references .. so, that sounds hopeful. I do not think they would do that unless he was truly still in the running, if not actually the preferred candidate.

Anyways, I also got the all clear from my work last week to continue working for them remotely.

So, fingers crossed, everything is on track but we will know more after the medical on Friday.

satay yeah, knowing my luck Brisbane will have a glorious winter [by my standards] and I will be in FNQ! Lol

45C for Sunday sucks! They reckon we might get 37 which is up there for us who whinge when it is 32

Darn Crows!!! Fancy you know how I hate those evil black $%^&’s and your losing some interstate eggs just fuels that hate. I am truly sorry to hear that. Evil I tell ya! Evil!! They are cawing as I type and have taken to trying to steal the girls breakfast again.

37c would be glorious lol. It only got to 36c here yesterday was so nice for a change.
