Update on the quail hatch. It's not lookng good so far with only one out. Fingers crossed a few more hatch today.. You'l be shocked to know i have another pekin that has brought babies out. I will try my best to get pics today. This black girl has 3 babies.

Teila thank goodness Dusty made a good recovery! It must of been awful. My Chook coop is in the 'blindside' of the house I can hardly hear thing.... a monitor sounds like a plan!

Hey Susan glad to hear you are home now … you sound like me, I couldn’t wait to get back to the garden and coop etc when I got out of hospital. Hubby was having all sorts of conniptions when I kept trying to do things

Yep, I definitely recommend a baby monitor! General consensus is that Dusty is probably only alive because I heard her. It will be the first thing I buy when we move and the coop is not so close.

Yes it is cute. It's the second oldest. Fingers crossed for it being a girl.

Quail hatch was a disaster. Only 2 hatched and i moved them to the brooder. 1 downed in the waterer, It was a waterer designed for baby quails. Never had that happen before. It's like it feel face first and drowned.
