Australians - Where are you all????

I can post candling pictures if you like. it sorta looks the same as last time but...

I bathed a chicken just then. I think she's egg bound and someone said to bath her to loosen things up a bit. It didn't work. But she's clean.

And I am also almost about half way through making a brooder and boys boxes in one. I should be finished either tonight or tomorrow. I'll post pictures of it when it's done. I am going to put the blue aust chicks in there with a black aust hen. I am going to move the hen in there first though to get her comfortable, then give the chicks.

that she settles in and stays broody.

I'd like to see if I could identify the chick this time

Sorry about the egg bound hen. I have heard about how scary that is.

I don't know what I did with the pictures from Sydney. I want to look at them

Well I didn't get the broody coop/brooder/boys box finished. I didn't realise it took sooooo long to sand and stain wood. I did get one door on though

And it looks fabulous if I do say so myself.

Here are the candling pics from yesterday. I have been photoshopping the photos so you can see the chicks better but I don't have time to do these.

(I'll edit and post this photo in in a minute. its taking ages to load)

And this ones sideways

That picture is so cute.

I hate sanding wood. Whenever I try to do something creative that's one of my major pitfalls.

I have an idea.

I had two problems that I've been thinking about. 1) how am I going to be able to tell lonely apart from the others when she hatches. 2) how am I going to go about putting chicks under miss broody when she hasn't had the whole hatching experience ( hearing the chicks peeping in the eggs and feeling them move).

So I thought........ Why don't I put lonely under the hen to hatch. Then I can mark her somehow so I'll be able to tell her apart.
Whadaya think?

I was going to have the coop thing done this morning but I forgot I had a hairdresser appointment. So it'll be done this afternoon. Argg I can't wait, I'm so impatient.

Oh and sorry ray for hijacking your thread and starting a conflict. I just can't stand it when people always think it's okay to bag Australia. And then say it's okay because they're half Australian. There's two things wronge with that 1) if you don't live in Australia then your not Australian. ( I mean for years, your still be Australian if your living somewhere for up to a year). 2) I'm guessing one of they're parents was an Australian that moved to America, that how they got the half thing. That's like me bagging someone for being short then saying it's acceptable because my mother is short. Even if I was short ( which a totally am

) it's still not okay.

Sorry, I've done it again

I won't talk about this again.

That's all right. I saw what happened, but I didn't want to get involved

Just found out that these chicks could be a few colours. Blue, black and/or splash. I hope I get blues and splash. I've already got black. Bit this makes things more exciting, a surprise.
