Australians - Where are you all????

How is everyone today? We're just chillin' because it's the last week of school and nothing particular is on.

Getting exams back tomorrow.

I don't think I did all that badly, besides the writing cramp.

Im doing more coop do-ups. Right now I'm deciding whether or not to paint the inside of the coop white. It will look neater but dust and dirt will be more vissible. But then I'll be able to clean it off easier.
Hmm. What do you all think.

Two of my silkies got eaten last night.
Went in the coop this morning and there was a huge python in the coop having a snooze with a huge belly and a dead one beside it. And would you believe, there were six chickens in the cage it got into. 2 roosters, 2 mutts and 2 good quality silkie girls. It took the two girls. I'm so ticked off. Why couldn't it have gotten the roosters, I dont need or want them.
Guess I'm re-wiring the coop tomorrow.

I'm so sorry, that must've been terrible. Especially because it targeted your girls.

Hope the fix-up prevents anything like this from happening again.

Well its raining.
And its going to be raining for a whole TWO WEEKS

How am I supposed to paint the coop when its raining!?!??! and I need to clean the coops AND I have retainer wall material just sitting there waiting to be put up.

I hate it when it rains like this. Why cant it just rain once every two weeks or something.

Sounds like life is being hard on you.

Rain always has a way of arriving at the most inappropriate moments. It's raining today though, which is all right because the humidity is probably even higher than the temperature, it's yucky.

Greetings MrViskers.
It's very nice of you to come and join us Aussies on this thread. I look forward to hearing all your chooky adventures.

Today was not raining. It did rain but on and off, not constant. So I got a fair bit done around the chicken coop

I put up the retainer wall, cleaned out the coops that have straw and started painting the inside of the big coop. Im quite happy with my achievements. Next on my list is: getting dirt into the retainer wall thing to level it out, finish painting the coop insides and fill all runs with mulch (

) Mulch is actually surprisingly heavy. But I think my to do list will be put on hold seeing as it's going to be raining for so long. Hoping the forecasts are wrong.
