Australians - Where are you all????

Hi all...from Healesville, Victoria. I'm a newbie still building my coop (all from reclaimed/recycled stuff so it's taking a while). No chooks yet and I'm already addicted to this site...this looks like the beginning of a long obsession!

Sorry it took a while to say hi but I didn't even know this thread was here!!

Woohooo!!! Its Australia Day !! Happy Australia Day Everyone !!! I'm back from camping today we left Saturday and its was a scorcha 38 + degrees and of course I got really sunburnt but had the best weekend.

This constant heat is getting to me. What ever happened to the good old southerly that would blow threw in the evenings, or is just wishful thinking?
I am an Aussie ring in. I was born in the US, but talk and look aussie. Not many people realise untill I tell them or they happen to meet my mother at the same time. She still has a good Texan ascent even though she has been here more than half her life. My husband is Aussie and so are my kids.
I have lived over in the US in several places and Australia beats them hands down.

Today is better here. Its 32F better than 41 yesterday. It is a little sticky here too. Clouds and small showers keep that humity high.

Hey Peeps..I'm from Sydney, I have a house in Coogee, but I am living here in the USA for a while..Atlanta Georgia! My first time with chickens and when I return in a couple of years I will be getting chickens back home...I come home about twice a year. I miss the water!

I am surprised that there are Aussies on here...

Ok, so I'm not an Australian but I am living in Australia at the moment...does that count? I'm studying in Brisbane - I got here in July and shall study next semester and then (sigh) return to the US next July. I'm gonna miss it here...
