They're a day early. It must have been the heat wave we've had that sped them up.
How are yours doing? Do you hear cheeping yet?

We went through a bit of a heat wave a week ago it was like 50 degrees in the back of the coop where Izzy was sitting.

Hello Guinea Foul Gallore

I love your alpacas, your girls are gorgeous. I definitely want to get a couple once we are on property. I would be very interested in your fleece. What a shame that you had to throw it out.
Do your alpacas spit at you? I have heard this is a dominance issue and if they do it to you, you need to spit back at them. Is this true?

You don’t know my Oli, he runs around like a chook with its head cut off (no pun intended). Go for a walk with him on the lead and after a kilometre he tires out however take him down to the beach or in the back garden and play ball, well he doesn’t know when to stop, he tires me out. He’s like an ever ready battery, just goes on and on and on and on………
He can fall on his face and he will still want to chase the ball or play with his squeaky toy (squeaky has been removed for the sake of my sanity). I reakon Oli would be quite at home on 25 acres as long as you can throw a ball or something at him to chase ……. It will be interesting how he will get on with chickens, he will definitely give these girls a run for their money (eggs), they will definitely be very fit and lean chickens.

By the way Oli turned 3. He was a refuge dog who had been abused so I don’t have the correct date on which he was born, so I use the month of December when I got him. Now he is spoilt rotten and he loves eggs especially hard boiled. I would need a chicken just for him.

Just dropping in to say I still have no chicks I think, I know there hatching in 2 days but I'm just making sure.

Though Izzy was eating food and making the sounds like shes found food when she has babies... I don't know whats going on there shes a odd one

I had to kick one of the three broodies out of the box as it was picking on the soggy chick above. I cant have that, Tsk Tsk.
