australorp cant/wont open eye

okay thank you for the advice. the vetericyn finally comes in today so i’ll use that tonight. i want to get her back in with the flock asap. they were mostly all raised together from chicks but you know how chickens are. she’s always been fairly low in the pecking order so i dont want to keep her ostracized much longer. but i also dont want to put her back if whatever it is is possibly contagious.
ive been flushing with saline twice daily and she’s been fighting it less and less every day. she also has 24 access to her water, feed, scratch, and black soldier fly larvae

she laid an egg today so i think she’s feeling better!

It might be sore from the injury. Let us know how she gets along.
update. the vetericyn came in and i used it for the first time last night. she still was barely able to open her eye so i flushed it and used the gel and put her to bed. i worked a 13 hour shift today so i wasnt able to check on her during the day but when i got home i looked at her and her eye looks almost completely better. she’s holding it open, only slightly squinty, much more energy, and is very annoyed with me😂. i flushed it again and put the gel on again and put her to bed again an hour or so ago and tomorrow morning i’m gonna put her back out with the flock before i go to work. thanks for the advice!
