Australorp? Maran? Other?? What is she...

This is Poppy. I thought she was a Black Australorp when we got her, but I have since gotten another Black Australorp and she looks nothing like Poppy. I’m hoping she is a Maran but there’s been some debate. She has always been almost entirely black except for her chin/chest, black feet and beak, and the little white dot in her face. The pic looks like she has white on her head, she she does NOT, it’s just the light.

What do you all think??

This would be the one I would question. She has a single comb, correct? Her feet are weird....

Interesting! I have three blue A’s too and they have this marbled look to them as well.

Both Australorps. The amount of white down through the throat/belly and head can vary quite a bit.

I think I will agree with junebuggena. I've never seen an Austrolorp with pink on its feet though.

I've had 5 Australorps over the years. All have had pink toes as chicks. The dark wash moves down the feet as they grow. By 3 or 4 weeks of age, the legs and feet turn black.
