I agree, Australorp. Marans are much "thicker," in general. Not only this, but while some aren't feather legged, I think most are. Especially the French varieties.

The first one... what color is the bottom of her feet? If pinkish, then I agree with black austrolorp. If yellow, then she's a black jersey giant.

They are pink. Thank you! Now I’m curious what the heck my other one is then if not an Australorp.
