Australorp or Jersey Giant? Cross?

Hello everyone, we rescued this blind/partially blind bird about two months ago. She’s supposed to be around 8 months old now (but who knows). We were told Jersey Giant cross hen.

Please let me know 1) it’s a she! (A bit of doubt now a few random people commented on her being a roo) 2) guesses of breed? Thanks!!

The same folks also sold us some “blue silkie eggs” which turned out to, of course, not to be pure silkie. Expected. Not a big deal and they’re cute.

It would be a good idea to post about this bird's blindness in the medical forum. It could be the result of a disease or malnutrition caused by parasites or coccidiosis.

It’s a definite boy - no doubt there. Sometimes random people are right.
