Australorp Rooster or Barred Rock Rooster

Well its chick ordering time and I am going to order 12 Australorp Hens and 12 Barred Rock Hens and one rooster due to the fact that I have a young rooster down in the coop, so the ultimate question is a Barred Rock Rooster or Australorp Rooster?

I have a Barred Rock Rooster so I want a AUSTRALORP so I can say I have had three breeds of ROOSTEYS.

I think if you get an Australorp roo, then the eggs that you hatch from the barred rock hens will be sex linked. That way you can keep your Australorps pure, and get great layers from the Australorp/barred rock crosses.

To be honest I just like roosters and want a new variety and if we do breed we will have the best egglayers in Kentucky

Get the lorp, so your chicks can be barred rocks, sex links, and australorps. ( You will have thousands of eggs).
