We have a sweet roo that was born as a surprise. We were on vacation and our Cochin hen sneakily brooded a single egg while our unknowing house sitter was watching them. He was born Sept 22. His dad is an absolutely awesome rooster. But he and dad are starting to not get along. And he is so lonely since he was the only baby. Mom didn’t wean him until the middle of December. Mom and dad were absolutely great parents and are great pets. So I know this little guy has good genes. And since weaning he’s really needed a flock of his own. I can’t find anyone locally so far who would like to give him a good home. We live on the northern coast of California and would give him free if anyone could take him and give him a good happy life.

Sorry, I live in the UK.....just clicked onto your unanswered post. Seemed rude not to :idunno
We have a rooster with our two girls and he’s AWESOME. Yup, we love our guy :love
Your young man is Very Handsome :thumbsup
Take his picture, make a poster and pin it to your Library notice board, or Church notice board in your area
Good luck :highfive:

Thanks for your post. I love love love his dad. I can’t imagine chicken life without him now that he’s here even though we weren’t planning to have a rooster at all I’m so glad we do. Just wish more people could realize their benefits other then a meal. It’s so sad to me how hard it is to place a rooster when there’s so many good reasons to have one.
