Hi,
I was given this chicken not too long ago and was told maybe it was a black copper maran. However, her eggs are a light buff color, so i dont think it is that breed. I was thinking Australorp but her irisis are red. Im just curious so if anyone could help i would appreciate it.

Mine don't. But they're hatchery quality, not breeder quality, and certainly not SOP. What color are the bottoms of your bird's feet? Australorps should have pinkish-white.

Mine is from a woman who said she got them from a farm and she just had too many. The bottom of the feet look to be white. Her legs are slate grey.

Mine are blue, not black, but that's about the color of their eggs too.
