Australorps and Orpingtons

Is there much difference between Australorps and Black Orpingtons? From what I read, the Australorps were created from Orpingtons, so wouldnt they have many of the same characteristics of Orpingtons?

They are very similar, but better egg production and tighter plumage than the orpington.

Australorps are a cross between black Orpingtons and an Australian breed (hence the name). I've worked with both breeds, and they're both docile, good layers.
