They are out there but as I found, very hard to find..Jack tickle has show aussies and several of his people down south Pa..but I tried several times to get ahold of them with no luck ..You might try to run an add in poultry on craigs list or different poultry online sites. there are several in NYS.But thats too far..not sure if any south of you..I know they are out there because you see them but hard as hens teeth to find..

Racoons are the worst..they chew right through chickens wire like its nothing..we had to buy the thick wire for all fencing..it was worth it. befor that we had holes chewed all over the place in every pen..they are very determined..

I wonder if anyone can help me identify the problem with this pullet. She was solid black for about 3-4 months, then her feathers changed to motteled looking. Individual feathers lost their black. She has been this way for almost a month, and she is not losing feathers, so I kind of eliminated moulting. None of the others have done this, so I don't think it is a nourishment thing. The color changing seems to have stopped, but I am wondering if this is a genetic fault. I would like to hatch some of her eggs. thanks for any ideas. ......stan
