Australorps breed Thread

Our local post office is so...well...blatantly incompetent that I'm actually afraid to have live chicks shipped here. At least with eggs I don't worry about a living, breathing creature being brutalized before it even gets a good start in life. I'm looking forward to being able to breed and hatch exclusively from my own flock...but first I have to build my flock, and not many people around my area seem to favor the birds I'm most interested in. I did luck out in finding a breeder of Bielefelders  and Cream Legbars in the Phoenix area who invited me to come to his farm to inspect his chickens before buying eggs to hatch...or to possibly by chicks from him instead. I'm actually pretty excited about that impending trip.

Let me know what you think of the Bielefelders! I'm interested in maybe bringing in a second breed. :)

go to www.chickenhillpoultry.com I purchased SLW' & Orpington chicks, my girlfriend purchased Wyandotte & Orp chicks . She is very easy to do business with. She is in ID, I'm in NY. On her website she now has Bielefelders.

I've only purchased chicks from her.   So not sure about adults or eggs. She's very easy to work with, shoot her an email !
I cannot let my sons see her page. Their dream birds are there or birds I know I will be begged for. My 4Her has enough on his hands this spring already. My almost 3 year old does not need a pet. We are full when it comes to chickens. I would love to work with her after we eat some and or sell a few off.
