Sorry to hear it is chronic ..Would a chiropractor help ? sometimes it does ...might be a problem in the neck too

I do have neck issues as well and see a chiropractor regularly along with therapeutic massage. I get the best results when my adjustment immediately follows the massage, but the results are always short-lived. I have something called "military neck", which means I no longer have any curvature remaining in my neck. Oh well. We all have problems, right.

I'm curious... I know you say it was caused by a head injury... But what are you doing when they begin? Could it be an emotion you are experiencing or a thought you are having at the time that triggers them?

Oh, Mrs B...there are so many triggers. This last time was a combination of exposure to a chemical cleaner being used by one of my employees leading into barometric pressure changes due to incoming rain plus allergens....who knows what my triggers are any more. Emotion doesn't do much for my headaches, but headaches definitely impact my emotions. I meditate regularly to keep stress levels under control, but stress usually only results in a standard tension headache, not a migraine. There's a definite difference between the two. I spent six years in the care of multiple neurologists and other specialists who put me through a battery of tests that, personally, I think should be classified as forms of torture. It's just part of my life now to have headaches. We've all got our problems, right?

I'm relieved to hear you meditate. ♡ I am so sorry to hear of your pains. I will keep you in my thoughts.

I would simply adore doing Yoga with you.

LOL! My doing yoga is sort of a comedy routine. I flop and fall all over the the place. My son, who loves yoga, teases me over being the only person he's ever met who can fall over while laying down.

It looks like at least one of my Aussies has started producing eggs, but the shells are thin and rubbery and I've found all of them on the floor of the coop, broken, partially buried by bedding, and pooped on. I offer them plenty of calcium via oyster shell that I've seen all of my chickens consume regularly, and I've done a little research, so I know this can happen when they first start laying. One of the eggs I found this morning literally looked like the pullet just squeezed it out while she was still roosting on the bar. I sure hope they figure out how to use the nesting boxes by the time the eggs are "normal".

What you are seeing is common with new laying hens.

They get a good commercial chicken feed? Then they should be fine in a week or so.

Oh yeah! I'm a bit fanatical about their feed. I have a local supplier of organic, soy-free, corn-free, canola-free fresh layer feed of 16% - 18% protein that I also ferment. Plus I supplement with greens from my garden, occasional treats of apples or seed blocks or meal worms, and whatever bugs, lizards, weeds and grasses they can find.

Thanks for you feedback!

The extra food can cause weak egg shells. For the next two weeks, only give them feed and the extra calcium. Start adding it back after that but only a little bit until you see how much you can give them.

What they get from free ranging should be fine--they will only eat the correct percentage that way. The extras can be like crack for them. Some greens will remove calcium too.

Are these your 1st chickens? As older hens teach younger ones where to lay .
Put some fake eggs in the nesting box ..( Monkey see monkey do ...)you can buy them at a craft store or ebay ,
or take some brown masking tape & cover a few Plastic Easter eggs .
Some Newbies need some direction as what to do with those eggs

other than just let them pop out ..wherever ...LOL
