Violet was very nice to the other chickens she was very smart and was at the top of the pecking order. If something was wrong she would run up to me and follow me around squaking until I fixed it.

Australorps are like no other bird, for sure!

I had one hen that had purple and green sheen. The purple is not exactly what we strive for, but, she was nice everywhere else so I kept her.

Just to kick this in...if she was purple all over but you loved her, that's all that matters....unless you are planning on exhibiting her.

I did show her and I got reserve champion in showman ship. The judge said she had a pinched tail but it wasn't rhat bad
