Australorps breed Thread

It's because the farmer promised me that he would take him but only at 8 weeks when his fully feather. He is known 6 weeks.

No question about it, cockerel. I wonder why the farmer said 8 weeks because a BA is feathered out enough at 4 weeks to go outside with this weather. You are lucky that he will take him back. If he was NPIP AI certified he could not for biosecurity reasons meaning he could lose his whole flock if your farm had a health problem.

I didn't buy him from him. It's a hatchery bird that I purchased at rural King. But i found a chicken farmer that raises chickens to sell cage free eggs that is willing to take him and his brother a silver laced whyandotte as a favor. And if you're asking, yes I'm that unlucky. purchased 3 chicks in a bin marked pullets amd only got one female, the golden laced whyandotte.

I know I am breakin the law here posting pics of other than BBS Aussies, but I just had a hatch of Mottled Ameraucans and BBS Ameraucans along with some BBS Aussies. Check out the Mottled Ams that are black and yellow, my next couple of years project. Are they not as cute as a button?
