How long does it take before the pullets start laying? I have 3 black Australorps that hatched 21 of March. I also have 4 EE hens born on 28 of February that are already laying.

My australorp that was born on March 13th isn't laying yet either, but I have 2 eggers that are 2 weeks younger that are laying and a Partridge rock that was also born on the 13th who is laying. My australorp (Loki) recently got red comb and waddle so I expect she'll start any time now. I have a delaware who was also born the same day who isn't laying yet either.

combat, they lay when they lay. A good quality BA can take around 6 months to lay.

My three Australorp pullets hatched February 22 and started laying about 2 weeks ago. Im sure yours are getting close. It's actually kinda fun to watch. One of them kept going back to the nest to look at it and singing the egg song like 4 times in a row her first time. It was like she was blown away that an egg actually came out of her butt. Like OMG, I just did that!!!!

Huummm....I have eggs that were due to hatch out tomorrow, but a Blue Aussie chick decided it had enough of it's egg today. I went in to check on the humidity and temp of the incubator and was surprised to see a little head peek up at me. It was already out of it's shell!

Yippee! My first Black Australorp pullet laid her first egg yesterday. It's honking huge next to my Easter Egger's eggs. Just have 2 more to start laying.

They were hatched on March 21st. So they are right on track for being 6 months of age before starting to lay.
