We have a couple Australorps that I think went through the molting stage, neither have been laying for most of the summer and we noticed their combs are now very short and pink instead of red like they use to be. Every once in a while 1 will lay a soft shelled egg which comes out broken or is hanging out. Is there a problem with them, will they ever lay again?

Our black Austrolorp gets REAL cranky when she broods, but no worries! They'll lay again!

. Ours gets all puffed up and sometimes lookas like she'll attack me, but with Austrolorps, for me, it takes a long time.
