I bought these two chicks on March 2nd at TSC. They were labeled as day old Australorps pullets, but they look so different. One is much smaller than the other and has the iridescent black feathers. This chick is also taking longer to feather out. The comb is also developing very quickly. The other is almost a charcoal grey, with no visible comb yet and feathers that look almost laced. She doesn’t look like an Australorp to me. This is my first year with chickens, so any input on breed and gender is appreciated!

They look like Australorps to me. I've raised a lot of them over the years. The one with the large red comb is male.:old
Both of these birds have pea combs and Australorps have single... I understand the similarities in appearance, but the comb type shows that this cannot be the case :)

Neither are Australorps. You have a pair.
Thanks! This ones comb has only gotten bigger and redder, so I’m pretty sure at this point he’s a roo.
