A single relay that is able to do it the way the diagram shows is called a double pole double throw (DPDT)

If you want motor in the morning and manual at night....

+ to door switch
door switch to 87
30 to motor
other side or motor to -
(switch polarity if motor runs backward from what you want)

disregard 87a altogether attach nothing.

update:

ok so i got a 5v DPDT relay, its slightly different numbered pins but im sure its the same.

heres the circuit

iv done a test wire up

upon connecting power to both circuit, the motor runs continuous with the limit switch's having no effect when pressed.

hmmm....

what happens when you unplug/unwire the limit switch? Does it stop then?

you say its a 5 volt relay?
you need a 12 volt.

hi

ok after a fiddle we have the motor going one way , and one limit switch cuts the power when pressed.

cant seem to get the other side working

heres what i have ,

1...... 5v + (will be timer switch)
16.... 5v - (will be timer switch)

4......motor +
6......5v -
8......limit switch 5v +

13.....motor -
11.....limit switch... 5v +
9.......5v -

ps its a 5v relay, motor and batterys

the motor will turn the opposite direction when power is cut to 1 and 16
timer clicks on motor turns up until limit switch clicks
12 hrs later
timer clicks off and motor turns down until limit clicks

so your saying the wiring is correct ?

It will not switch directions if it is AC unless its a reversible motor.
