Would it be better to buy the auto turner for the LG 9200 or turn by hand? Also, what's the reasoning behind each?

I'm starting to lean toward the auto turner, but am wondering how everyone else feels and why...

Thanks!

I have the Genesis 1588 and SO glad I got the auto turner. For me at least it would have been too much to turn them 3 times a day and then you loose humidity.

I have an LG. My first batch I hand turned. All that were viable eggs hatched.

This time around I have the eggs in egg cartons and I'm tilting the whole bator 3 times a day. I keep a very small container of water in it and don't use the water rings for the humidity.

When you say "tilting the 'bator," how are you doing that? How much of a "tilt" do you need? Sorry, but this is all brand new to me...

I have 2 incubators and one turner. One incubator is suppose to be a hatcher..... I used the auto turner for about 10 days before I ha to many eggs...

Now the "hatcher" is incubating also.

So.....how good are you at saying no? Incubating is addicting! Bare space means room for more eggs...lots of rally cute pictures of chicks...chicks are fun watching growing....all this equals more eggs....suddenly no room anymore for the auto turner.... LOL

DH posed a good question. If you're tilting the 'bator, how do you keep the water from running out of whatever you have it in? Again, sorry for all the questions
