Title says it all. We are setting up my rabbitry and I am on the fence as to whether to install an auto watering system or not. Is it worth the expense and will it freeze in the winter?

Yep, it'll freeze, so you'll have to keep it above freezing in the winter.

I have about 50 holes, so I am contemplating getting one myself, it gets really old fast filling that many bottles, plus winter is not fun!

I'm moving mine to my garage, I'm hoping to insulate it some to keep it warmer in there this winter.

I am seeing setups that have a large 5 gal. bucket and then others that hook to the hose right?

I would prefer to just fill a large bucket say weekly than have to have the hose running in there constantly.

Yeah, they have the bucket one for small setups.

My friend has one with tanks, he has a birdbath heater and a pump in his. It still freezes if the rabbitry gets below freezing though!
