Automatic door opener - any easy tips/ideas?

Hi all! we are in the process of building our coop so our chicks and ducks can have an outdoor space to roam. However, the thought of getting up at 6am on the weekends to let them out has me cringing. I've seen people post about having the hen door on a timer, but not any directions on how to do this. We could figure it out on our own, but anyone have any ideas or a post link that tells an easy foolproof way to hook one up?
