Automatic door

Ah yeah, I'll ask on their form if there'd be any way to replace the batteries in the future, thank you. They unfortunately don't make the models anymore with replaceable batteries. They only make the solar panel ones - which is fine, but ideally they'd be solar powered with a backup battery slot. I'll also fiddle with the panel sometime this week and see if there's any way to easily access the internals and see what kind of battery it's running on.

I hope you find a good solution. Solar may be better than changing batteries every 6-12 months.

Nevertheless Chickcozy may have lost me for a next purchase if I need another one. I have not enough confidence in small solar panels to buy the new type. I had a few small solar panels with a light & sensor. They all gave up after max 2 years. I have to admit were not very waterproof. Hope this Chickcozy is as waterproof as they say (IP65 ?).

Please make a review and update after a few years.

My omlet door came today, it's great so far. I have the app to open it and close it and to turn on the light. I'm trusting that it'll open itself in the mornings, I'll be around for the first few. But I always will be there to make sure it'll be closed and all the hens are in.
