Automatic watering for my Quail???? need advice

the problem with the fishtank heater in the tank is the waterpipe 20ft away from the tank

If your thinking of laying your heater in the water tray it should work if it doesn't get very far below freezing. I had one in a 10gal tank one time & it froze.

If your thinking of laying your heater in the water tray it should work if it doesn't get very far below freezing. I had one in a 10gal tank one time & it froze.

worst i saw last year was 6 below...i told the wife at 10 below i didnt care what i promised, i was gonna smoke inside the house! my quail are inside the garage and i'm not sure how cold it'll be in there...gonna have to keep an eye out!

FITZY CAN YOU LOCK DOWN THE GARAGE AND USE ELECTRIC SPACE HEATER??? MAY BE MORE ECONOMICAL AND CERTAINLY EASIER THAN THE TANK HEATERS--- AND YOU'LL HAVE A SMOKING HAVEN

Inside I would use heat lamps. That way you are getting the heat & the light for one cost.
