I keep trying to upload an avatar that Photoshop says is within the correct dimensions, but this site keeps rejecting it. My file is only 47x48 pixels, is 6.61k and 72 dpi. When I try to upload it the forum says it's too big.

    What now?

    Thanks,

    Laura

  2. occassionaly the avatar upload gives me trouble and I have to try a few times.

your file sizes sound fine of course, I'd be happy to look at the file for you too, you can email it to me if you don't figure it out

What is the file extension? Is it a .gif or .jpg?

I can attempt to upload it for you if you post it here in this thread.

Ok, if you like you can try this one, should be the right size (28.7k and not quite 100 x 100 pixels):

And it's a JPEG from Photoshop.

Filesize was too big. I simply saved it as a .gif which reduced the size and it uploaded fine.
