Avatar Problems

I have tried both photobucket and shrinkpictures. They make an avatar size pic but when I come back here and paste the url and click on get avatar nothing happens.

Am I doing something wrong?

You have to save the changed image to "My Pictures" on your computer. Then upload it. You can't just paste a url.

I went to college for graphic design and cannot get my picture to change! I've saved a new version that is 95x95 pixels and only 8 kb. I'm guessing that the last time I did this I used adobe photoshop instead of iPhoto to get it more precise. But come on! Then I have to use my old computer, and I don't wanna!

I was able to get it with a new picture today. On a mac I believe command R is similar to what you were saying to do. Thanks for the help! I may go try the other pic just to see what happens.

I have made a handful of different avatars through photoshop and NONE of them have been small enough to work. How in the world am I supposed to make a 100x100 pixel picture less than 15KB??? I've tried saving it as jpeg, as bmp, I've tried doing less scans, lower quality, lower resolution, etc, etc, etc and it has NEVER been under 18KB.

Any ideas???

Also you might want to change compression on the jpeg.
