Silkie chicken, I only have have 2 breeds of chickens. I have 3 buff Orpington hens, 10 rhode island reds, and 2 of my hens are part Buff Orpington and part Rhode island red. The golden chick in my photo is one of the 2
One of my buff Orpington girls is a really good brooder and mom. She has hatched a set of chicks two summers in a row now. My other two Buff's each hatched out one batch of chicks too. So I don't know if it's just them, or if buff orpingtons are just natural brooders
