I have a couple of hens who haven't started laying yet. It was a very hot summer, so wondering if that had something to do with it or if it's typical for their breed to be late layers. Both are from Ideal.
SLW : hatched 2/20/2011, makes her almost 8 months old.
EE : hatched 2/9/2011, makes her about 8 months old.
My others from Ideal layed for the first time at about 6 months, but they hit 6 months old in the spring (BR, BO, and RIR)
