Average point of lay for geese and hatching?

For the small/medium breeds you can expect a moderate clutch of fertile eggs their first breeding season. For some breeds, such as the Dewlap Toulouse and Exhibition Embdens, you may get some eggs the first year but there is very little likelihood that they will be fertile.

My americans buffs that were born in July did lay their first breeding season (subsequent year), but the clutch was later than their parent's clutches and the number of eggs laid per goose was smaller.
