Hi everybody,
I was just sent an e-mail that there are confirmed cases of Avian Influenza in Washington State. Nothing in domestic birds, yet, but I wanted to share the website so you can be aware of the symptoms.

It has some really good information about how to keep our chickens safe from foreign diseases.
Not trying to alarm anybody, but I feel that knowing what to look for is better than being surprised and losing the entire flock.
Merry Christmas, everybody!

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
