aviary for quail and zebra finches

It looks great!!! Keeping quail and and finches together should not be a problem! They tend to get along well. I would consider a hanging feeder for the finches and a standard waterer whether hanging or on the ground. Any seed spillage will be cleaned up by the quail and the finches may even visit your quail feeder from time to time. With a nest available, I will warn you that your 2 pair will soon become 20+ finches as they multiply quickly!!!!
so it's better to not provide them nest very often right?and if that is the case and they multiply quickly i wouldn't have space for rest so what bird should i get that do not often breed??

I kept three pairs of zebra finches with a pair of king quails for a while. The finches fought with each other a lot. To prevent too much fighting, make sure you give the finches a couple of food and water bowls and several nests (if you want them to breed). For the quails, provide them with a shelter so they can get away from the finches (and their droppings). Also, I'm assuming you're going to put plenty of perches for the finches, right?
yess i am adding more perches and thank you, i will provide them seperate waterer and feeder

thank you will the finches know how to drink from a poultry nipper(the ones that's being fit with pvc pipes)?

Like others have said, finches need a water bowl. I would think their beaks are too little to be able to use those nipple waterers. And finches love to bathe so a bowl would be great for them!

If you don't provide nesting material, they won't sit on the eggs. The females will still lay. When I had my finches, the two females laid quite often. I just had a wire nest lined with a paper towel. It was open so they had no desire to sit

wow!! Now I'm ashamed of my poor DIY cage!😄.
Questions. how will you heat them? (Temperatures where you are? )
how often do you plan on cleaning the cage? what will you use as ground? Im asking because right when I started keeping quails
I had some surgeries dan and fortunately I had just finished my wire cage. Otherwise my quails would stay filthy waiting for me to recover.
Put some levels with ramps for the quails. They will have shelter underneath and an escape option in case they fight. Not very high though. they are not much of a climbers.
Maybe next summer I will bild an extension to my cage. something like an attached run to keep them busy🤔

no need to be ashamed of😁...well temperature here in my region range from 3-30 degree celcius so it's not too cold or too hot...and yes i will add some later but for now i think its ok ...thanks for your advice though😊

just make sure you can remove the eggs often so the females don’t hatch them or have just males or just females....they will make nests from bedding, feathers, etc. my current finch population is controlled by the budgies because they will not allow eggs to stay in any house. but same situation with the budgies.....my one female has hatched and brooded 10 babies in 6 months. male budgies can be jerks so this is not a recommendation of adding them to your aviary. 😉😉

Finches, budgies, etc have an amazing ability to acclimate. Mine have been outside since early spring. they have a heated room attached that we try to keep around 50*F but they have been outside in temperatures below freezing. (we don’t lock them in the heated room) I linked my thread
