My loner baby hatched yesterday... I set 9 eggs, tossed 8 on day 7, clear as clear could be. I quickly set 4 more from any hen BUT the hen I was trying to hatch from... Rooster must not like her. But they're a week out... 2 on the 27th, one for the 29th, one was a dud. There's chicks in the eggs, I candled them last night.

"Socks" appears to be a nice little single comb cross of D'Anver x OE, being 3/4 OE Game. With the size of his little day old comb, I have to say boy.

His name is Socks because he cried and cried before he was dry enough to come out... so I talked to him and wrapped him in a sock which made him quiet down. He's still in his sock sitting on the desk... I can't stand the sound of lost babies! So he'll be my pocket pet until another hatches, then I'll carry them both for a couple days to get them bonded then they go into the brooder. Tomorrow he'll spend some time in the brooder to learn about eating and drinking.

I think he's out of my Buff colored pullet, her eggs look like Prissy's eggs so it may have been accidently set. This one is a lot lighter than the others I hatched last time.

ETA: Look at those white feet! Yup, That's Lil'Bit's baby, the last chicken I wanted babies from! geeze.

So here's Socks, the accident chick and lone hatcher...

The other eggs are still cooking, so I should have 3 more, 2 on the 27t, 1 on the 29th. I checked for movement this evening and they're still going.
