I have this Ayam Cemani that was the only one to hatch about 6 weeks ago. So I have nothing to compare it to. I looked at its wings at a day old (staggard feathering) and then laid it on its back (Stopped moving almost instantly) to try and determine the sex and thought it was a girl. Then I learned you cannot sex Cemani's and now I am unsure.
I have another clutch of 15 in the incubator and will need to eventually sex those as well. They are not mine, but as payment for hating them I get to keep one of each. So Im trying to learn what exactly I am looking for. I have scoured threads and google and the comb is not as big as others I've seen, but not as small either. Is there anything else I can look for aside from feathers around 16 wks? It determines if I am able to keep it over the next week, or if it will be going back to the person who is having me hatch the eggs. I dont want to introduce it to my current flock if they will just have to leave shortly after. Rooster I keep, pullet goes back to him and ill get to keep a pullet from this up coming batch.
I know her feathers look more gray, but I have to turn on every light in my house and turn on the flash to get my camera to recognize that there is something there.
