Question for @JedJackson or anyone else experienced with this breed. Is it normal for only the males to be shiny and iridescent, while the females are dull black?

All healthy black birds with have iridescence. ;]

I want to rehome my 3 pures, They are going on 9 weeks, but I am careful who I sell them to. I don't want them to go to a coop with many other chickens, I don't want to sell them to anyone who expects egg layers. I will probably end up keeping them. Except they are also flighty.

Ones I had in the past below, were broody all the time.

I think you are right. They both still have very small combs. I am curious what yours were crossed with, if you don't mind sharing

Yes. My birds were very healthy and were given gamebird feed. I sold most of my Ayam Cemani but have one hen left.

I actually do love black birds though.

They are bred for their skills in magic. now shhh, don't trash the breed before i've had a chance to unload my birds on the next greater fool.
