Ayam Cemani cocks?

I bought three Ayam Cemani yesterday, I know one is a cockerel. There's two I think are cockerels but people keep telling me they look like pullets.

Does anyone know? Their tails seem cockerel like to me but I've seen pullets looking the same. They follow the cockerel around everywhere and preen him and they sound exactly like my other hens. And they were sold as unsexed.

All three look like they have the thin, narrow saddle feathers of cockerels. I agree that one in particular looks like a pullet but those feather make me think otherwise. So I am guessing three cockerels.

You are welcome. This is a new breed to most of us and I am not 100% certain. Hopefully others will chime in, especially those who have raised this breed.

Dang...my spell checker is thwarting me! I raise these..the pics are hard to see..however..one is a cockerals one is a pullet..if u post better pics..i can tell u better.

Yeah, the saddle feather and tail feathers are not what you'd see in a pullet. I really think you have three cockerels.

With all those pointy feathers flowing over the tail..looks like a cockeral to me. I raised a few chicks this year that hatched together..some of the cockerals r twice as big as others. The smaller ones are developing slower. All the males are bigger than the pullets..have larger feet/scales. They also spar pretty early..even the chicks..chest bumping and putting up thier hackles.one thing I found..was that my chicks were all solid black as chicks..but by the time they went through their 5mo. Moult..some had feather leakage( gold) one day they were all black..next day I see gold feathers! a lot of people will sell cockerals and tell u they are pullets to! My two flocks have pretty strong bonds..stronger than my other breeds. I recently sold off one of the roos w his favorite hen because he was a cull. He was the head guy...for two days the remaining flock has stayed under the coop! There are 3 cockerals and two hens n that group. They are usually very active/busy and free range in a hugh area..poor guys.

Thank you both. I will keep them but keeping my eye open for a few pullets. Been waiting a long time for even a cockerel of this magnificent breed.
