It's still a cockerel.
I thought one of my cockerels was female. Found him in the nest one time. Rofl.
To be fair it was the first cockerel I'd ever had.

Is she laying eggs? Sometimes you get a hen that looks like a roo (My friends actually named one of theirs Roo, but Roo lays eggs!) Beautiful bird. If she's not laying eggs already, she's definitely a cockerel though.

Won't be getting any eggs at 13 weeks, and especially not from that young 'lady'!
Although Austra white lay at 12 ish weeks.
I have a hen called Roo too...
It was a themed name though.

Whoops! Wasn't sure on age. I mistakenly didn't look at the dates on the posts, so I assumed older if they were sure that the ayam in question was a hen.

He's still sitting on eggs, but looking more like a rooster these days so *thank you all* for your guidance! An interesting development here is that these little beautiful golden flecks in his feathers that are starting to appear. Any idea what could cause that? I thought it was debris, but nope

That is leakage.
Do you happen to have an updated pic of him? I’m curious to see how he developed

how they should look. Ayam cockerel has leakage. The little black pull. Bottom of chair is pure ayem.
