The chicks are now two weeks old and I can already guess who is male and who females.
Maybe someone more expert can explain why this cross it’s not sexlinked.

Tomorrow there are other 8 eggs that should hatch but it seems that I can’t sex the chick at hatch..![]()
I am by no means and expert, but I think it has to do with the dominant white.Um, it "should" be sexlinked, according to all the genetic information I can find on the internet.
But male #2 and female #2 have combs that seem very gender-specific, even though their leg colors are backwards. Right now, I'm inclined to believe the combs rather than the legs.
They are sex linked on the Id locus, males are Id/Id+(white skin) females are id+/- with black skin(body skin), Shank color Is no indication of sex linkage when dealing with the extended black e allele, Cemani have both dermal and epidermal melanin boosting genes, White Leghorns are the oposite, the have inhibitors that are both sex linked and autosomal, but the cross Is sex linked 100% just take a look under the Chick down or under their arm/wingMaybe someone more expert can explain why this cross it’s not sexlinked.
