Ayam Cemani x Leghorn

weve bred these crosses for the past 3 years and their amazing birds very good layers and will fit in witb any flock not a problem all of ours have purple/ black legs and combs and have had 3 different colours turn out can send pictures of our adult babies if anyone would like or can see them on our facebook page
I’m planning to cross a Cemani rooster with a leghorn hen. This cross should be sex linked, right? I should obtain hens with black skin and roosters with clear skin. Someone that have done this cross know if the hens produced from this cross are good layers?

we have been breeding cemani roo with leghorn females for a few years they are fantastic layers and really friendly birds, unfortunately they are not sexlinked and we have white, light grey, dark grey and black females and males and colour wise there is no difference between male and female as chicks you can only tell sex when their combs start developing when older. we have lots of pictures of ours at different ages

This hen is AC and a california white egg layer. Her egg is a very light gray.

could you send me a few photos, of the differences, mine are only about 6 weeks old but i worry I have 2 roos.

The chicks are now two weeks old and I can already guess who is male and who females.
Sadly it seems that they are not sex linked.
What I see is two females, one with black legs and skin, one completely white.
The males one completely white and one with blackish shanks and white skin.
i had never heard of the sex link possibility using a fibro bird and non fibro bird. I just read about it on another thread here this morning. does the breed of non fibro bird make a difference .I have crossed ayam cemani on Turken chicks and have a very high percentage of fibro offspring. I didn't keep track of all the chicks as I didnt know about the link but I currently about 10 birds here from this cross to reference and 4 of these are roosters. since reaching sexual maturity they do have a slightly mulberry hue to the black skin that the females do not have. is there particular breeds that this is linked to or is it supposed to work on any fibro/ non fibro breed cross?

Works best in Silkie males on hens with yellow or white shanks, it would seem that ayam cemani carry an inhibitor of the sex linked dermal inhibitor that is present in clear shank breeds. so a cemani rooster cross with clear shank hens may not be a good sex linked cross after all or at least not as effective
